Zia’s Italian Grill proudly celebrates 20 years of serving the community! Voted Best Italian Restaurant 16 consecutive years by Metropolitan Magazine, Zia’s Italian Grill only serves the finest authentic Italian cuisine in a family orientated atmosphere. Zia’s was recently voted 2011 Restaurant of the Year by Wicomico County Tourism, proof that throughout the restaurant’s prosperous 20 years, Zia’s has remained a contemporary restaurant with old fashioned values. Zia’s has proved year after year that it is possible to keep up with the changing times to stay ahead of the competition without losing sight of family values.
A Daily Times Mystery Reviewer once stated “Restaurants are a lot like wine. Some are like Ripple, seedy by definition yet eternally popular. Some are like May wine, sweet for a season but short lived. And some – Zia’s for example – just keeps getting better and better”. This can be attributed to the strong foundation Zia’s was built on: quality, service, and value.

Each plate of pasta or delightful dish of your choosing (if you can choose just one) is served with consistent quality so that each plate is just as delicious as the first. The principle of quality does not stop at the kitchen doors; it extends to the experienced and friendly wait staff that has been trained by the owners themselves. Each member of the wait staff is trained to serve every customer with courtesy and care. Family values and family are important to us at Zia’s, so we want to share our family with yours.
Zia’s Italian Grill is locally owned and operated by proud owners Alex and Pete Bubas, who grew up in the restaurant business. The Bubas brothers were taught at a young age what it means to serve the public, which is what sets them apart from corporate restaurant owners who only know what it is like to dine at a restaurant, not what it is like to work in one. Another attribute that sets Alex and Pete Bubas apart from corporate chain owners is that they are both dedicated to actively serving the community. As active members of the greater Salisbury Community; Alex currently serves on the Advisory Comity for the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center, while Pete serves on the Advisory Board of Wicomico Tourism. Since family and serving the community are top priorities for Alex and Pete, they are both active participants and supporters of the Local Owner Restaurant Association (LORA) which is an organization for locally owned restaurants located in Wicomico County and Delmar who have banded together to heighten awareness of the local support the association gives to the community in regards to charitable and noteworthy donations and the use of local dollars in supporting local businesses.
